By default, the appliance's default WAN setting is DHCP, which means it receives the IP via DHCP. 


But in your setup, if the WAN type is Static IP / PPPoE / VLAN on WAN then you can follow the below steps. 


Step 1 - Access the WebConsole of the appliance.
A) Access Point -  In case your Ray AP is not receiving the IP via DHCP, it should be broadcasting the SSID WiFiXXXXXXXXXXXX where XXXXXXXXXXXX is your MAC Address of the AP and also the password of the SSID. Please login in the WIFIXXXXXXXXXXXX SSID.





Step 2. Go to your browser and type http://192.168.33.33/


Note: Use the below provided credentials for the GUI access.

         Username: root

         Password: MAC-Address of the device


Step 3. Click on Configure WAN Settings. 





Step 4. Click Create Network Interface



For VLAN

    You can set the VLAN id and VLAN Tag.





For PPPoE

    You can mention the Username & Password.





For Static IP

    You can mention the below details and press Submit.





Press Submit. 



Method 2. Via Cloud. 


In this case, your AP is connected via DHCP and ONLINE on the cloud controller. 


Step 1. Login to Cloud Controller using your username & password on https://cloud.ray.life/


Step 2. Click on Access Points






Step 3. Select the Access Point in which you want to set the PPPoE/Static IP/VLAN. Go To column Actions. Click on overflow Menu and select "AP Profiles".







Step 4. Click Create Network Interface



For VLAN

    You can set the VLAN id and VLAN Tag.



For PPPoE

    You can mention the Username & Password



For Static IP

    You can mention the below details and press Submit.






Step 4. The AP settings will take into effect. 


Do remember that network settings take some time to take place. Please wait for 5 minutes post applying the changes.
